About 1111 - The flower of Life
My favorite moments of creative inspiration arrive in the most magically unexpected ways. This particular blooming occured on the 11th of September, 2011. It was 11:00 am and I had just dialed in to an audio broadcast commemorating the significance of this date, led by a teacher I am very fond of. As love would have it, rather than the scheduled broadcast I was unexpectedly greeted by the sound of static.
Immediately my eyes began to lightly flutter, rolling back ever so slightly as I ascended into a trance-like dreamstate. I had the experience of my body floating above the planet as beautiful magenta lines flowed from my heart and into the hearts of the beings below me. There was a magnificent pattern unifying our auras into a web-like mesh, creating what I now recognize as the flower of life. I had seen imagery of this pattern before, but up until that point, it held no significance to me, as I hadn’t explored it’s symbolism or meaning. Yet here i was, immersed in it’s pulsating force while unifying waves of love emanated between the hearts of all the connected beings and myself.
When I came out of the state it was 11:11 and the scheduled audio broadcast began.
Of course I was drawn to explore the significance of this symbology. The Flower Of Life is one of the geometric patterns found within the mystical realm of Sacred Geometry. This special symbol is representative of the cycle of life. It's believed that within this symbol the most meaningful and sacred patterns of our universe are held.
It goes without saying that after such a significant and special experience, the Flower Of Life has had a very special place in my heart. It has been very present in my life ever since, making appearances during meditation and in my dreams. The flow of life, chaos, and order dancing eternally became the inspiration behind an art series I made bearing it’s name.
This series carries the essence of my personal evolution, and serves as both a story and reminder that life is in constant flow, and that my deep calling and purpose is to emanate harmony and wholeness.
I sometimes contemplate about how this vision’s deeper meaning will continue to evolve. I experience an intuitive ‘knowing’ that it is intimately connected to my life's work and orientation. I know that this is my calling, this vision to bring light and inspiration through art and collaboration, because it doesn't feel like ‘work’. My heart sings with joy when I spend time creating art and collaborating with other artists. The art I make is an expression of my ever-evolving orientation to life and my constant quest to know the truth of the Universe (inner-verse)
FLOWER OF LIFE SERIES
The flow of life, chaos and order dancing eternally
Those who want to know the Truth of the Universe should practice the four cardinal virtues
The first is reverence for all life: this manifests as unconditional Love and respect for oneself and all beings.
The second is natural sincerity: this manifests as honesty, simplicity, and faithfulness.
The third is gentleness: this manifests as Kindness consideration for others, and sensitivity to spiritual Truth.
The fourth is supportiveness: this manifests as service to others without expectation of reward.
The four virtues are not an external dogma but a part of your original nature.
When practiced, they give birth to wisdom, and evoke the five blessings:
health
wealth
happiness
longevity
and peace
